Taboo Circus

The Taboo Circus will put up its tents on Saturday September 17th,  2022 from 3-10 pm at the occasion of the Berlin Art Week at Seibert Collection.

Oranienburger Strasse 32
10117 Berlin

In the circus tent visitors may take photos with the clown Schluba. It will be an invitation to socio-political joking.

Come!
Come!
Spin the taboo wheel.
Win an I-message that you would never post in your life.

With the random I-message, matched by the taboo wheel the visitor and Clown Schluba will further on take a photo for the social networks. For a bribe, you can also choose your favorite ego message.

The point is not to present oneself as particularly good, beautiful or intelligent – as it is usually the case in advertising-financed networks. Now, it’s about shocking your followers. At the same time, this campaign shows the limits of advertising-funded networks. It explores following questions:

How hard can you be?
What are your personal limits?
What are the personal limits of others?
What does this constant positive staging on ad-funded networks do to us?
Does it turn society into an envy society?
Are the negative topics, non-posted topics made more tabooed by their concealment, so-that everyone feels even worse about negative events?
